Camera Stand

This piece was the culmination of a quarter-long manufacturing and design course.

This spiral staircase piece was designed to both store and showcase camera equipment and accessories. The radius of the leaf shelves allows cameras to be gripped by the corners, and the slight upward angle keeps rolls of film and equipment from sliding off while rotating. The central aluminum pole spins within a bearing, for access from all angles. For ease of transport, each individual leaf can be removed, as they are held in place by brass nut accents and slotted through the pole.
